The Wagga Wagga Show which began in 1864 is one of the oldest in Australia.The Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove will open the 15oth Wagga Wagga Show which will be held this year on October 2 and 3rd.Plans are well underway to celebrate this major milestone with lots of regular and new events planned with an emphasis on family entertainment.
Wagga Wagga and District Historical Society has offered to assist the Show Society with the production of a Commemorative Souvenir Program which will contain some of the Show’s rich history.
The Show Society is particularly keen to highlight its proud history and would also like to hear from anyone with memorabilia which could be displayed during the Show later this year.
