Bishop of Riverina, Reverend Barry Hunter and Principal of CSU-Riverina, Professor David Chalmers signed an agreement to establish St Martins Anglican Residential College on the University Campus.

It’s December 1966 and New Zealand, Rugby League star, Graham Kennedy, has signed a contract to coach Wagga Kangaroos for three years.

Wagga Wagga Hospital in 1896 on the corner of Johnston and Tarcutta streets. This was Wagga’s second hospital established about 1860. The fountain is known as the Chisholm Fountain having been presented by Hospital President, Frederick Chisholm of Bulls Run to the hospital in 1885.

Rev Edward A Roberts of the Methodist Church who has been in Wagga for seven years is leaving Wagga to take charge of a four church circuit in Sydney.

In 1996 the Wagga Quota Club donated $8,500 to the Wagga Base Hospital Children’s Ward Appeal. Part of the donation came from the proceeds of the Club’s art and craft fair.
