25 Years Ago Red Cross member, Mrs Jean McGeoch from the Ladysmith Red Cross branch and previously the Borambola branch was presented with a laurel wreath recognising 50 years’ service by Red Cross zone 21 representative, Joy Brown.

For many years Rawson House (or Rawson Private Hospital as it was also known) was a prominent feature of the Wagga Base Hospital precinct.
Welwyn Private Hospital
Welwyn Private Hospital, on Simmons Street, had been owned and operated by Doctor WW Martin and Doctor SH Weedon from 1923. It was leased by the directors of the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital Board from 1939 until 1942, accommodating an average of 10 patients a day.
