John Shervington advises that he will be visiting the Wagga District from Sunday 18 January to Wednesday 21 January 2015 and that he is interested in checking records to do with his father – George John Shervington – who lived and worked in the district from 1926 to 1929.
George started at the Wagga Experiment Farm through the Big Brother Movement in 1926 and then worked on properties subsequently: AW Brooks “Wisconsin” Tumbarumba Road Via Wagga; Jack Bouffler “Trigger Vale” Lockhart; Eddie Pfrunder “Baden” Grong Grong. John understands that his dad was employed by the late Adolf Pfunder from 1927 to 1929 and then he went to Western Australia in 1930.
John is interested in hearing from anyone with knowledge of his father, the properties where he worked or any resource suggestions which might help his search. He can be contacted via news@wwdhs.org.au
