The Royal Australian Historical Society will be holding a Regional Seminar at Wagga Wagga in conjunction with the Charles Sturt University Regional Archives, Wagga Wagga and District Historical Society and Wagga Wagga & District Family History Society, over a two day period – Friday the 1st August and Saturday 2nd August. Lectures and workshops will cover topics such as land research, multicultural local history, including Italian, German, Chinese migrants and their presence in Australia’s nineteenth century view of history, Wellington’s men in Australia, Lebanese families in the Wagga area, history in the virtual world, occupying the land – different types of tenure, Charles Sturt Regional Archives collection, Chinese migration and settlement in the Wagga area and the Romany in Australia.
Sessions delivered by a group of first class presenters.
The event will be held at the Charles Sturt University Regional Archives, Blakemore Building, South Campus, College Avenue, Wagga Wagga.
Cost: Members, friends and supporters $25/day or $45/two days; Non-Members $30/day or $50/two days.
