I was fortunate to attend two of the three presentations made in Wagga today by visiting staff from the State Library of NSW.

This morning we were treated to a presentation from Elise Edmonds who curated the current SLNSW “Life Interupted” Exhibition which draws upon the State libraries collection of around 550 WW1 diaries.

Elise spoke about the exhibition and many of the other WW1 activities and resources available from the State Library of NSW.

In the afternoon Cecilia Harvey, a Conservator at the State Library gave us an excellent and entertaining presentation on how to preserve your personal history collections, including letters, journals and photographs.

Cecilia  gave attendees a resource kit to take with them and explained much of the information and advice which is available at:

Thank you Elise, Cecilia and the State Library of NSW for coming to Wagga Wagga and thank you to the Museum of the Riverina and Wagga City Library for arranging the visit.
