Kym Witney-Soanes, Rural Researcher, KWS Research will talk about her work and the delights that oral histories can uncover, providing an example of a farm history package using her own Mallee wheat property.
Based in Wagga Wagga, Kym established KWS Research in 2013 to deliver oral history services individually tailored to families. This is a two-way process where she carefully plans and conducts each face to face interview in a relaxed and respectful manner.
The results may include digital sound recording of the interview, photographic, E-books and transcripts. Kym specialises in farm histories where the story of rural properties is recorded across the generations.
Visitors and Guests are always welcome to attend our Monthly Meetings which are held on the third Wednesday of most months at the Museum of the Riverina, Botanic Gardens site commenciing at 7.30pm.
